Dr Jay Fedorak was appointed as Information Commissioner in July 2018.
He has 25 years of experience in the field of privacy and Freedom of Information, as a regulator and in the public service of the Province of British Columbia as a practitioner.
Before relocating to Jersey, Dr Fedorak was Deputy Commissioner to the Information and Privacy Commissioner of British Columbia for 6 years. Prior to that, he was an adjudicator for the same regulator for 3 years.
Dr Fedorak holds an MA and PhD in International History from the London School of Economics.
