INDEPENDENT INFORMATION COMMISSION

Head of authority: Emmanuel D. Howe (Executive Director and Acting Commissioner)

Mr. Howe holds a Master of Art in Business Administration from Cuttington University in Liberia. He formerly worked with the Ministry of Finance as Head of the Sector Ministries and Agencies. He also holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Journalism and also worked as Assistant Public Relations Manager of the Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation as well as Staff Writer/Proof Reader of the First National Poll Newspaper.

Mr. Howe joined the IIC in 2012 as Administrator and Head of Secretariat. He has since administered the administrative and technical activities of the Commission until present. At the end of the tenure of Cllr. Mark Bedor-Wla Freeman as Commissioner, Mr. Howe was designated to run the affairs of the Commission in 2021. He is married with children.
