Member accreditation to the International Conference opened

The ICIC has opened the accreditation process by which authorities and bodies responsible for overseeing the legislation on access to public information can formally request to become a Member of the International Conference.

The Accreditation derives from the ICIC Charter, which was adopted by the ICIC 2019 in Johannesburg.

By joining theICIC, members have access to the closed session of the annual conference and are able to participate fully in the workings of the network, which includes voting on resolutions, becoming an elected member of the Executive Committee and participating in working groups. Membership to the ICIC also represents a unique opportunity to link up with other authorities from across the world to identify trends, best practice and strategic priorities.

Before applying to become a member, authorities should refer to the accreditation procedure which describes how their application will be processed by the Executive Committee of the International Conference.Read an explaination of the application process
