TRANSPARENCY BY DESIGN

Objective

This Working Group should tangibly accelerate progress in concrete ways to advance the knowledge about Transparency by design with the overarching goal of increasing innovation. These efforts are intended to promote data and knowledge sharing and exchange and best practices in favor of the wellbeing of our communities.

Activities and Products

    • Findings Report – ICIC Transparency-by-Design Working Group

This Report presents the measures put in place by jurisdictions to effectively implement the transparency commitments featuring in legislation and aims to contribute to the development of a taxonomy of good practice to guide governments and information commissioners to adopt solutions which achieve better accountability and transparency and encourage, or allow, greater citizens’ participation in the public discourse. The findings of this Report represent a snapshot of the vast amount of information and the many initiatives and programs which ICIC members have.
